I was recently honored to be featured in The Times/Courier in an article by Michele Collins highlighting our offices at Solon Business Campus. As someone who has spent years serving clients and building businesses in the Solon community, it was incredibly rewarding to see the vision behind this project recognized in print.
The feature tells the story of something many professionals have experienced firsthand: the challenges of working from home.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Like many business owners and professionals, I spent years working remotely. While working from home certainly has its advantages, it also comes with challenges. Finding a quiet, professional environment for client meetings, focused work, interviews, phone calls, and collaboration can be difficult.
Over the last several years, I heard the same concerns repeatedly from remote workers, consultants, sales professionals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners throughout Northeast Ohio. People told me they needed a professional place to meet clients. Others were tired of working from their kitchen table or trying to be productive in noisy coffee shops. Many didn't need a long-term office lease but still wanted a business environment where they could focus, collaborate, and thrive. Just as importantly, many missed being around other professionals during the workday.
Those conversations inspired the creation of these offices.
Creating a Flexible Professional Workspace
My wife and I developed Solon Business Campus with a simple goal: to provide affordable, professional office solutions that give people the flexibility they need without the high costs and long-term commitments of traditional office space.
Located at 31320 Solon Road in Solon, the campus offers approximately 3,800 square feet of modern workspace, including fully furnished private offices, dedicated cubicles, shared coworking spaces, conference room access, professional business address options, high-speed internet, coffee and tea service, and a variety of office amenities. We wanted the space to feel comfortable, productive, and inviting while maintaining a polished and professional appearance.
My wife played a major role in selecting the artwork and décor, helping create an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and professional from the moment someone walks through the door.
More Than Just Office Space
One of the points highlighted in the newspaper feature is something I believe strongly: people don't just need office space. They need community.
Many remote professionals miss the opportunity to connect with other business owners and professionals throughout the day. That's why we have already begun hosting networking opportunities and bringing together people from a wide variety of industries.
On any given day at Solon Business Campus, you may find realtors, mortgage professionals, financial advisors, consultants, entrepreneurs, sales representatives, accountants, and remote corporate employees all working under one roof. The opportunities for collaboration, referrals, idea sharing, and business growth are tremendous.
When people work around other motivated professionals, great things happen.
Flexible Options for Today's Workforce
The way people work has changed dramatically, and traditional office leasing often doesn't fit today's needs. Many professionals no longer need large office suites or lengthy lease commitments. Instead, they need flexibility, affordability, and professional space when they need it.
Rather than requiring long-term commitments and expensive buildouts, Solon Business Campus provides practical solutions for today's workforce. Whether someone needs a private office, a dedicated workspace, a conference room for client meetings, a professional business address, or simply a productive environment away from home, we've designed options that meet professionals where they are today.
Our goal has always been to remove barriers and provide workspace solutions that allow people to focus on growing their businesses.
An Exciting Start
The response has been encouraging since opening earlier this year. We've welcomed professionals from a wide variety of industries, and it's been exciting to watch businesses grow, partnerships form, and new opportunities emerge within the space.
One of my favorite parts of operating Solon Business Campus is seeing how each member uses the space differently. Some need a quiet office for focused work. Others need meeting space for clients or colleagues. Some simply want the energy, accountability, and networking opportunities that come from being surrounded by other professionals.
Every business is unique, and that's exactly why flexibility matters.
